Our Heritage
Divine Retreat Center, a Catholic retreat centre for the spiritual renewal of the people, is located in the peaceful, breathtaking setting, on the banks of the river Chalakudy in Kerala.
It is run by the Fathers of the Vincentian Congregation’s Mary Matha Province, with the blessing of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly.
Global Reach
Since its beginnings in 1989, week-long spiritual retreats have been held every week. Over 10 million pilgrims from all over the world have attended retreats here.
The Centre receives an average of 5000 retreatants every week for the retreats held in 7 languages — English, Malayalam, Konkani, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
Faith in Action
Divine Retreat Center has three core ministries — spiritual retreats, charitable services, and the media ministry. Through our charities, we walk alongside the poor, the lonely, and the forgotten in every season.
Every ministry flows from a life of prayer and returns there, bearing quiet witness to the beauty of the Gospel in a hurried world.
